Participation in survey and competition “SentoVox”

Competition rules and statement of personal data

These competition rules are drawn up in English and, for the comfort of participants, translated into Dutch, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The English version of these terms and conditions is the leading version.

Art. 1 Purpose

“SentoVox” is a research project for cultural venues (theatres, concert halls, cultural centres, etc.) and includes an online survey of the audience of the participating institutions. This online survey is linked to a competition for the participating respondents. The competition is organised by Sento Group BV (see Art. 7), who facilitates the research. These rules determine the modalities for participation in the survey and the competition.

Participation in the survey and competition implies acceptance of these rules. “The respondent” or “respondents” are the individuals who complete a survey for one of the participating cultural venues. Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary and happens by the free will of the respondent. Participation is allowed from the age of 16. The respondent may stop the survey at any time. The surveys are completely anonymous. No identification data is requested or stored.

The estimated time to complete the survey is 10 minutes, but this may vary depending on speed and answers given. The respondent gives the researchers or their partners permission to store, process and report his or her answers anonymously. The data are collected and stored by Sento Group BV and may be shared with the partners of the study, such as participating universities. Additional information about the study can be found at www.sentovox.eu.

Art. 2: Personal data

The questionnaire does not contain any questions about personal or identification data: no data is collected at any time that can be traced back to the identity of an individual. Completion of the questionnaire is therefore completely anonymous at all times.

Due to this anonymous nature, it is not possible to determine who completed a given survey, and it is therefore not possible to request to view, change, or delete answers after submission. It is prohibited to leave personal data (name, email address, postal address, etc.) in the open fields of the questionnaire. If this should occur, you may contact Sento at the e-mail address below to view, modify or delete such data.

No personal data is collected for the competition (“win a trip”) either. The system selects winners according to the procedure described in Article 4 (“Determination of winners”). Respondents who win will see a separate message after completing the survey, with a unique code and the request to contact the research team via e-mail. In this way, the research team only comes into contact with the winners and avoids having to collect personal data from all respondents.

Winners may at any time, and on simple request by e-mail or letter, ask Sento Group BV to view, change or delete their personal data. Personal data of winners will be deleted after their price is handed over.

Art. 3: Conditions of participation

The research period runs from 01/09/2025 to 31/01/2026, but may be extended or shortened by the research team without prior notice.

Only respondents who answer all questions in the online questionnaire will participate validly in the competition. Each person may participate only once in the survey and therefore only once in the competition.

A total of three (3) trips will be raffled among all respondents of the entire project.

Each respondent who correctly and fully completes the survey also saves 1 m² of endangered rainforest or nature reserve. Participation is limited to once per person and therefore a maximum of 1 m² per respondent. The total saving is limited to 1000 m² per questionnaire and therefore per participating cultural venue.

At the end of the study, a donation will be made to the recognised organisation World Land Trust for the total number of square metres of rainforest saved, which will issue an official certificate. This certificate will be shared with all participating institutions and published online.

Art. 4: Determination of winners

The prizes are raffled off via a lottery system. Prior to the study, the website www.randomizer.org will choose 1 cultural house per 10 participating cultural houses randomly between all participating cultural houses. In the survey of these cultural houses, a prize will be raffled among the participants. For each chosen cultural house, a number between 1 and 10 is chosen via the same website, www.randomizer.org. At the winning cultural houses, a randomizer is activated in the survey system, which randomly assigns a number from 1 to 10 to each respondent. This happens in the background and is not visible to the respondent. The first respondent from the winning cultural house who is assigned the winning number by the randomizer will see a message at the end of the survey that he or she has won, containing a unique code and an e-mail address. The winner will contact this email address and further processing will be handled directly between winner and organizer. In the event that the winner does not contact the organizer to claim his or her prize more than 1 week after completing the survey, the prize may be awarded to the next respondent who will be awarded the winning number in the winning cultural house's survey.

This process can be repeated until a winner is determined for each prize. If it turns out that a selected cultural house is at risk of reaching too few respondents and as a result of which the prize may not be raffled off, the project team can choose at any time to change the winning cultural house to another. This process can be repeated until a winner is known. In case the project team decides to give away more prizes, additional cultural houses and winning numbers from the spare list will be chosen via the same lottery system. In case the project team decides to reduce the number of prizes, the same randomizer will determine for which previously selected cultural house (which previously selected cultural houses) no prize will be raffled off. The process of the previous draw of cultural houses and winning figures is recorded on video. Any changes after the start of the competition, such as awarding more or fewer prizes, will be recorded on video in the same way. The outcome of the contest is irrevocable and binding, and cannot be challenged for any reason. About the competition cannot be communicated with the organizer.

Art. 5: Prizes

The winners of the competition will each receive one trip (value and destination to be determined by the organiser). Prizes are under no circumstances exchangeable for cash or other benefits in kind. The organiser can in no way be held liable for the quality of the booked trips or for defects in services provided by third parties.

Art. 6: Competition rules

Participation in the survey and competition implies full acceptance of these rules. Any attempted fraud will result in the immediate exclusion of the participant and may lead to legal action.

Sento Group BV also reserves the right to change, postpone, shorten or withdraw the competition, or part of it, in the event of force majeure or circumstances beyond the control of Sento Group BV. It cannot be held liable for this.

Printing, spelling or typographical errors cannot be invoked as grounds for obligations towards Sento Group. The English version of these terms and conditions is the leading version.
